As I sit listening to the rain, I wonder how many people are grateful to God.
We talk a lot about how dry it is and how much trouble there will be if it doesn’t rain. Do we spend as much time and attention saying “Thank you”?
With all of life, we pay attention to the problem and not the blessing. A dozen good things could happen one day, but we pay attention to the one bad thing that hurt. A person does a dozen good things but we talk about the mistake they made. Peter could walk on water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. When he started looking at the storm he started to sink.
It makes a difference where you focus. Say thank you to God today.
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!
